FOME FLEX HYDRO DEFENCE The primer is slightly modified with synthetic rubber and special additives that allow it to penetrate deeply into the base and strengthen it. The bituminous mixture can be used on slightly damp substrates, as well as on metal surfaces for corrosion protection. Suitable for use in all seasons. Asphalt-rubber primer is intended for creating light type jointless, anti-humidity and anti-water coatings on
vertical and horizontal surfaces of concrete elements, priming cement concrete substrates for bitumen roof and foundation coverings (Self-adhesive bitumen felt and thermoweldable roofing paper, bituminous mastics, roof coatings). The product can be used for corrosion protection of metal surfaces of bridge objects equipment.

Surface preparation

The surface should be clean and even, dry, free of grease, oil, rust and other particles reducing adhesion, also without build-ups and mechanical damage.

Application

Primer should be applied by brush, paint roller. Mix well before use. Apply 1 coat, coverage approx. 0.2 kg/m2. Uneven surfaces can increase consumption. The works should be performed in good weather, at the ambient and the surface temperature between -20 oC and + 35 oC. The product can be used at minus temperatures, but it must be at room temperature (kept for 1-2 days in a heated room).

Works after completion of application

Clean tools with bituminous cleaner or organic solvent.

Product is packaged in 9 kg pails. Store up to 12 months in originally sealed containers. Containers should be stored upright away from sources of fire and heating elements, in conditions which protect them from sunlight and weather. Can be stored at sub-zero temperatures. Allowable negative transport and storage temperature of -30 °C for a continuous period of 5 weeks. Allow 4 cycles of freezing and thawing at the allowable negative temperature.
